  • War Dogs member since 2014.

  • I come from a military family and wanted to find a way to help veterans and K9s.  My brother fought in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. My Grandfather fought in WWII. I  joined War Dogs a number of years ago and was asked to be a board member/secretary. I have been a legal/administrative assistant for 27 years.

  • I have a BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I was a secretary, then president of Fisher Woods Neighborhood Association until I moved to West Allis. I have a chocolate lab named Logan and a cat named Sophie.

  • I have been a member of WAR DOGS since 2009. I have worked at local veterinary clinics for the past 18 years and was the assistant kennel manager at a local humane society for 14 years prior to working at the vet clinics. I had also worked at a local dressage training stable for several years.
     

  • I have been a member of Western Waukesha County Dog Training Club since 1998 and The Staffordshire Terrier Club of America since 2004. I am also a member of The Alliance of Therapy Dogs and volunteered with Kestrel at the VA in Milwaukee on the spinal injury unit until her retirement.
     

  • In my spare time, I enjoy training and trialing both dogs in obedience, agility, and rally obedience and making therapy dog visits (both dogs are certified therapy dogs).

  • A native Wisconsinite, I was born in Milwaukee in 1947. In 1953 my family moved to Brookfield. I attended grade school in New Berlin and high school at Brookfield Central.
     

  • My first dog was a German Shepherd named, Lady. I’ve enjoyed dogs of various breeds ever since.
     

  • A Vietnam Veteran, I was drafted after high school and sent to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, for basic training. Fort Eustis, Virginia, provided advanced training. I served one tour in country from January 1968 to January 1969. Our unit followed the TET offensive from Saigon to I Corp.
     

  • Back home in the world, I worked for Inland Steel in electrical maintenance. The next thirty-five years I worked for Maintenance Service Co., a machine tool re-builder, as a machine tool retrofit electrician.
     

  • Retiring in 2013, I enjoy War Dogs, trap and skeet, camping at Wyalusing State Park, and yardwork.
